DORSET WALKING MAPS

Dorset is perhaps best known for its spectacular coastline, now a World Heritage Site, where a succession of extraordinary rock formations are strung out like pearls, from the crumbling chalk stacks of Old Harry Rocks to Lulworth Cove and the limestone arch of Durdle Door. Yet Dorset has so much more than coastline: forest trails and heathland; grassy downs much beloved by prehistoric man; meandering river paths and pretty villages tucked away from the major roads.

Based on Ordnance Survey cartography under licence, our walking maps show a selection of walks taking in the highlights of this wonderfully diverse county, from wildlife-rich rambles along the little-known Avon Valley Path to windswept coastal walks, forest trails and walks in the footsteps of Dorset's famous sons, Thomas Hardy and T E Lawrence.
