The George is a beautiful 18th Century pub set on the banks of the River Avon on the edge of the New Forest National Park in the charming former market town of Fordingbridge.

Here with us you have a choice of dining experiences. Enjoy a stunning view of "The Great Bridge" and River Avon as you eat in our waterside conservatory, or have a cosy evening by the fire in the restaurant. Alternatively why not just pop in for a drink in the bar or enjoy a coffee or a cream tea on the waterside decking.

At The George we offer classic gastro pub food using locally sourced, seasonal produce whenever possible. We have a comprehensive wine list tailored to suit all tastes and pockets and of course carry a well stocked bar.

Well behaved dogs are very welcome here at The George in the bar and outside area, we even have dog biscuits behind the bar and water bowls.
