The original Isle of Wight ferry company, Red Funnel Ferries have been operating a ferry crossing to the Isle of Wight since 1861. Today they operate over 35 sailings a day with crossing times as short as 23 minutes.

Services follow the sheltered central routes to the Isle of Wight from Southampton. The sleek Red Jet Hi-Speed service for foot passengers from Southampton's Terminal 2 is fast and efficient and the quickest route between London and West Cowes by train, with departures every 30 minutes at peak times and a crossing time of just 23-25 minutes.

Alternatively, Red Funnel's modern fleet of car ferries operating from Terminal 1 to East Cowes take just 55-60 minutes, with departures every 60 minutes at peak times, and can carry anything that fits under a motorway bridge. The service operates all year round including Christmas Day and is renowned for its reliability and smoothness - our guests seldom feel seasick!

Bicycles are carried FREE on vehicle ferry services provided the rider is in possession of a valid foot passenger ticket. Fold-up bikes are also carried free on Red Jet services although, due to space restrictions, they must fit into a carry bag.
