RABBIT'S BOTHIE Self-Catering Cottage
Rabbit's Bothie is an eco-friendly self-catering holiday cottage set close to the sea and downs at Freshwater Bay, Isle of Wight. The cottage is perfect for a quiet countryside break near the beach for two and is popular with walkers, cyclists, birdwatchers and surfers.
Rabbit’s Bothie is in the conservation area at the heart of the Tennyson Mile that runs from the lifeboat station at Freshwater Bay, Isle of Wight, to the Victorian poet laureate’s home at Farringford. The vacation rental is close to sites of special scientific interest (SSIs) and National Trust coastline, and within the area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB). This corner of the Isle of Wight is very popular with ramblers who use the bus and walk. You can walk on the downs from the bothy’s door to the Needles and Carisbrooke.
Rabbit's Bothie is also just three minutes' walk from the photography museum at Dimbola; St Agnes church with its thatched roof; and Orchard's, the village grocer. There is a selection of paths to Tennyson Down from Gate Lane, the road leading to the beach at Freshwater Bay and Afton Marsh.
Hollywood’s idea of England is alive and well and living in West Wight… complete with Morris Minors by the village church. Come and share our own bit of time that England forgot.
