Ordnance Survey scale linked walking and cycle maps

Our useful series of walking and cycling maps are aimed at helping families, holidaymakers and seasoned walkers and cyclists alike explore some of the loveliest corners of England.

Covering popular holiday areas in Dorset, East Anglia, the Isle of Wight and the New Forest, all are clearly drawn using Ordnance Survey cartography under licence, and show a wealth of visitor information such as places to visit, car parks, picnic spots and viewpoints. Several of our latest maps also use tough weather resistant paper, making them a great companion for outdoor adventures.

Our walking maps are produced at a large scale. Each features a selection of walks, taking in the highlights of each area, from windswept coastal walks and trails through nature reserves to forest rambles and walks in the footsteps of famous people. Walks are usually circular and range from shorter rambles of around three to five miles to long distance routes, each accompanied by a detailed route description. The network of major local footpaths is also shown allowing walkers to join routes together or create their own walks should they wish.

Produced at a slightly smaller scale and covering a wider area, our cycle maps feature clearly marked, easy to follow colour-coded routes, recommended and researched by local cycle operators. Suitable for families as well as those in search of a longer, more challenging ride, they also show the fuller network of footpaths, cycleways and bridleways, allowing you to explore at your leisure or create your own cycle adventures as you wish.
