Celebrating the heritage and beauty of
East Anglia, the New Forest, Dorset and other scenic
areas of Britain.
For historical interest, rural splendour
and remarkable cultural diversity, few
countries pack the punch of Great Britain.
At Heritage House we've been celebrating
our country's proud cultural and natural
heritage for the past twenty years. We
publish a range of books, guides, maps and
street plans enabling visitors to East
Anglia, Dorset and the New Forest to discover
the special beauty and interest of these
regions. These include our popular range of
walking maps, researched by local walkers
and based on Ordnance Survey cartography
under licence.
We also supply bespoke maps to local
businesses and attractions - see our bespoke
maps section for details.
Heritage House also acts as a distributor
for Jardine Press, whose postcards and books
feature lino cuts by James Dodds,
watercolours by his late father, Andrew
Dodds, and poetry by one of the UK’s
foremost contemporary poets, Martin Newell.
Many of the books display an intimate
knowledge of East Anglia, its landscape and
its legends, and contain a strong nautical
theme reflecting James Dodds’ early
training in the shipwright’s trade.
In addition, we publish a selection of
special interest books, mainly centred on East Anglia,
featuring poetry, art,
and works of general interest and covering
such diverse topics as vegetarian cookery and
barging life from 1780 to 1929, including books by
Essex author Sally Festing.
